We are seeking to fill a Prototype Specialist position on our team.
The Prototype Specialist is responsible for working with our engineering team to build and test prototype fixtures and cabinets for customers.
Jahabow is a leading designer and fabricator of commercial-grade retail display cases and millwork/décor. - Builds prototypes per specifications
- Redlines drawings for changes & corrections
- Assesses challenges & risks of product
- Verifies vendor parts per specification
- Validates instruction sheets
- Presents ideas to engineering for alternate construction
- Assists as required to transfer information to manufacturing
- Installs prototypes in the field as required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years experience in cabinetry, furniture building, or similar field
- Must have ability to read print
- Must be able to read measuring equipment (tape measure, caliper, etc.)
- Possess basic electrical knowledge
- Ability to research parts needed for projects
- Experience with hand tools, such as drills, saws, grinders, screw guns, etc
- Strong verbal & written communication skills

- Working knowledge on how to cut glass, install lights and outlets, & other metal work
