We are seeking an Engineer to join our team.
The Engineer is responsible for providing engineered product solutions based on conceptual design renderings and/or customer specifications.
Jahabow is a leading designer and fabricator of commercial-grade retail display cases and millwork/décor. Associates work directly with leading retailers like Sam's Club, Academy, Kohl's, and Walmart to create shopping experiences seen every day. - Transforms initial rough product designs using 3D computer-aided design (CAD) into finished product designs, including:
- CAD drawings
- Bill of Material (BOL) specifications
- Work instructions
- Raw material specifications
- Performance testing criteria
- Reviews engineering drawings & designs to ensure adherence to established specifications & standards
- Adheres to company policies and procedures
- Designs mechanical products for custom applications
- Coordinates with outside vendors for development
- Samples of new components
- Works under general supervision
- Performs all other duties as assigned
- Associates degree in Engineering
- 1+ Years in Engineering, Drafting, or a related field
- Experience with SolidWorks software
- Possesses knowledge in display products production, including:
- Plastic
- Wood
- Metal
- Vacuum forming
- Injection molding
- Blow molding
- Stamping
- Bending
- Forming
- Relies on experience and judgment to accomplish goals
- Familiar with a variety of engineering concepts, practices, & procedures
- Possesses strong technical & product development skills
