Position title

The Controller, the trusted financial advisor to the business, will be responsible for leading the site accounting personnel, managing the site month-end closing process, presenting site financial statements with variance analysis, compiling annual department budgets, and submitting monthly forecasts. They will also maintain ERP item master data (including the manufacturing standard costs), and ensure compliance with US GAAP and company policies.

  • Supervise Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable personnel.
  • Compile, organize and consolidate the annual site budget and monthly forecasts.
  • Perform the monthly close process and prepare required financial reports and variance analysis.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other general ledger accounts as part of the monthly close process.
  • Maintain ERP item master and standard cost data; analyze actual vs standard variances.
  • Be an active participant in site leadership; provide department/product cost support and variance analysis.
  • Provide financial recommendations on business opportunities and risks; supported by financial data analysis.
  • Support all internal and external audits; ensure site compliance to US GAAP and company policies.
  • Sedentary Work – exert a negligible amount of force continuously and up to 20 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or move objects. The job involves sitting, walking, standing, reaching, talking, and hearing.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Education Required/Preferred:
    • Bachelor’s in Accounting or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Experience:
    • 7-10 years with a strong background in cost accounting.  Managerial experience preferred.
  • Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
    • High skill level in cost accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
    • Thorough working knowledge of US GAAP, general, and cost accounting principles.
    • Excellent skills using Microsoft Office applications.
    • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
    • Able to effectively work across functions to drive site results.
    • Ability to interact positively with employees at all levels of the organization regarding finance.
    • Experience with enterprise systems (MRP or APS); Infor Syteline or CSI experience is a plus.
    • Must be able to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
